Low-tech for high-tech? In other words: Excel evaluation of production data from battery manufacturing?

To leave no doubt: Excel is a powerful and incredibly versatile tool for analyzing many kinds of data. But not all of them. Especially with large amounts of data, the single-value approach massively limits throughput. That is why we keep seeing in disbelief that, for example, mass data from the production of high-tech products such as battery cells for electromobility is evaluated with Excel and users have to wait incredibly long for analysis results. And yet there is often no way around Excel, simply because it is the only tool available to all users involved. Our solution: take data handling and analysis out of Excel. These tasks are performed by tools optimized for large amounts of data, such as NI DIAdem, NI SystemLink or databases. The role of Excel is then limited to reviewing the results and smaller individual evaluations. That fits and is fast.
