Success is when data becomes knowledge. Part 1: Why?

Measurement systems, test benches and data analysis solutions, no matter how complex their design, have only one purpose: to obtain and document information about the device under test, with regard to its functionality and quality. All the effort spent on testing technical systems always leads to a test result which – regardless of how it is generated and stored – is the goal of all these efforts. The steps taken to achieve this test result are, in this respect, a ‘necessary evil’ – necessary because extensive set-ups and procedures are often required to obtain and process the necessary information, and an evil because obtaining this information involves considerable financial, technical and time-related expenditure. This effort is therefore only worthwhile if it ultimately leads to an increase in knowledge. That is why the motto of our website is: “Success is when data becomes knowledge.”
